One of the big advantages e-commerce brings to the table is not having to rely strictly on a local customer base. You can sell anywhere you can ship to. That being the case, Amazon's big plus is its extensive customer base. There are millions of active Amazon users who trust the site for most of their shopping needs.

Equally important is that sales in the last few weeks leading up to Prime Day tend to be higher. So you have this 2 to 3-week period, every year, that could potentially rival your annual Christmas holiday sales. You can't get in on it if you're not selling on Amazon.
You Have To Meet Amazon Standards
We encourage all e-commerce sellers to seriously consider selling on Amazon. However, there is one caveat: you cannot just talk the talk. You have to walk the walk. Amazon is very protective of its brand. If you don't do things up to their standards, you won't sell on Amazon for very long.
